Best tour company EVER!!
We did the Snorkeling and Manta Ray Tours with Liquid Hawaii. The trips were amazing. Kirwin (not sure of spelling) and Alex and Visa (not sure of spelling) were the Best guides ever. They were very attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. It was so nice there were only 5 of us on each tour. Don’t miss this incredible experience!!
My husband and I went on the sunset manta ray experience, and would definitely recommend it. Kieran and Vasi welcomed us and made sure we felt safe and comfortable all the way through. They educated us about the wildlife and shared interesting stories of their own experiences. It was only my 3rd time snorkeling, and my husband’s first, but with assurances from Kieran, we felt secure. Once we were in the water, we were so enthralled by the rays, we forgot to be nervous. (Mostly … The rays get REALLY close to you!) Bonus: Kieran & Vasi took photos and video during our outing, so we didn’t have to bother with it and could focus on our time in the water. We also loved that we were the only tour group on the bay. We saw 4 different rays, and the crew were able to tell us the names of each one! We learned so much and had an unforgettable night. Amazing turtle experience
Amazing trip with Liquid Hawaii (Kieran and Alex) .. loved that it was a smaller boat and we got personal attention and not a cookie cutter experience. Kieran picked the best locations based on our wishes, the weather and water conditions. We asked to see turtles and first spot there were about 6 swimming around. Alex and Kieran were in the water guiding us around ... and got some great video. managed swim up close with at least 2 turtles. will use them again. Manta Ray Night Snorkel
Liquid Hawaii is the company to do this with if you’re staying north of Kona. Kieran & Ally were great hosts. Friendly, educational & experienced. Drove the boat a couple of miles out of Puako to the snorkel site. Kitted us up with great quality wet-suits & snorkels and lit up the water. Amazing experience
I would definitely recommend Liquid Hawaii to other visitors. It was easy to book and close to all the hotels around Hapuna Beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The manta ray viewing was amazing and the guides are very knowledgeable. I went with my family, including 2 kids, and they made the trip easy and comfortable for us all. Best Big Island Adventure !
We had an amazing time snorkeling with the manta rays!! Conveniently located so close to Big Island resorts and just a short ride to the rays. Book with Liquid Hawaii in Kona
Matt, Kieran and Allie were knowledgeable and absolutely amazing. There were four to our group and three of them. A few of us were nervous snorkeling and they stayed with us to make sure we were comfortable. I would 100% recommend them. Wonderful morning on the water!

Amazing amazing amazing
Went with Liquid Hawaii for manta ray snorkel, easy to book by calling. Boat and guides arrived on time at the dock. Easy to board, very knowledgeable staff providing education. Outstanding experience!
Seeing the mantas is a must do when visiting the BI! Liquid Hawaii does a top notch job making it an unforgettable experience. Leaving from Puako is very convenient, especially if you’re staying north of Kailua-Kona. A quick 5-10 min drive and you’re there at the ramp with plentiful parking. You meet the crew of two and any other guests joining you (6 max) and off you go. Once you anchor, you get to enjoy a beautiful sunset while learning about the amazing mantas you’re about to see. Really gives you an appreciation for these fascinating creatures. Slip on the provided wetsuit, hop in the water, and then everyone floats at the surface with a pool noodle for the legs while hanging onto a soft top surfboard rigged with pvc pipe and a light source. The mantas are…indescribable. Prehistoric in appearance, surprisingly graceful, they loop and swoop just underneath you. You could easily touch them (which you absolutely shouldn’t) although they sometimes brush against you. It’s mesmerizing and totally unique. We were the only boat in the area and spent 45 minutes in the water with 5 unique mantas, countless other fish, and our group of 6. A far superior option compared to some of the large boats further south and the lack of crowds made it felt safer for the rays and a totally intimate experience. The crew is fun, knowledgeable, and capable. They’re happy to share local tips with you about anything related to BI. It’s a small, family outfit so make sure you tip!
